The Concordium Foundation is a Swiss-based non-profit with the goal to build the world’s leading open-source, permissionless, and decentralized blockchain with built-in user identity at the protocol level. Concordium supports regulatory compliance, allowing businesses to harness the power of blockchain technology.

To facilitate a focused development process the Concordium Foundation has entered into a development agreement with Concordium AG, with the purpose of developing the Concordium blockchain as specified by the Foundation.

The Concordium Foundation is managed by a board of directors that are designated by the chairman of the Concordium Foundation. The Board of the Foundation consists of Chairman Lars Seier Christensen, Ueli Maurer, Simone Monnerat, and Bjørn Krog Andersen.

The Advisory Board of the Concordium Foundation consists of Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Hans-Ole Jochumsen, Claus Nielsen, Peter Klein, Hans Gersbach, Roger Wattenhofer and Paul Docherty.

The Concordium Foundation has granted DKK 50 million (EUR 6.7 million) to the Concordium Blockchain Research Center Aarhus, Denmark over the next five years to fund research into blockchain technology.
